We recommend this excellent new book, CLIL Material for Sciences.
CLIL Maths and Science Materials is designed for CLIL teachers of maths, biology, chemistry and physics at Secondary school level. The materials have been used on numerous CLIL Teacher Development Courses with teachers from all over Europe.
The book contains:
· classroom language for CLIL teachers with accompanying exercises
· subject specific language for maths and science teachers and learners
· classroom materials that exemplify approaches to teaching CLIL
· revision activities for consolidating key subject vocabulary
· suggestions on producing effective CLIL materials

El autobús
En el instituto,
tomamos el autobús cada mañana para ir
a clase, algunos tienen que caminar
mucho. El trayecto en autobús, es un momento privilegiado para reunirnos con
nuestros amigos, intercambiar,
escuchar música, hablar con gente nueva, para hacer los deberes,
o para hablar entre novios.
El ejemplo de Marion: “ Por la mañana, me levanto a las seis. Comparto coche con mi novio Waldan
y un amigo Pablo. Tomamos el autobús a las siete, nos
sentamos en el medio del autobús y
hablamos de cosas y otras de actualidad, decimos chistes, es muy divertido. A veces, cuando no hay nadie, escucho música y juego en mi teléfono móvil,
o hago los deberes para avanzarme para
la semana. Hay una parada de autobús en el
intituto Vaucanson donde estudian Waldan
y Pablo, Bajan allí a las 07:45, Luego, el autobús me lleva hasta mi insti
donde llego a las 7:55. El
conductor muy agradable, nos deja hablar en voz alta sin decirnos nada fuera de
la atención al cinturón de seguridad.”
